LARRY TRITEL BIO 2007
Larry Tritel, songwriter, guitarist and vocalist has over 25 years experience in the music business. He first picked up a guitar after he saw Glen Campbell singing, “Wichita Lineman” and “Gentle on My Mind“, on TV, back in 1969 and began to seriously play about 1974, and has only put the 6-string down briefly, during his short and stressful marriage. (1994-1999) He's been in such unknown bands as “Wink & The Dinks“ (70‘s), “Aisle 5” (80‘s), and “4 Track Mind” (90's) to name a few. Tritel has been performing as a solo act since about 1999. Some of Tritel's accomplishments include: 1.He wrote and performed “The Official Song, of the Pocono Garlic Festival” in Stroudsburg, PA. You can see him perform at the festival every Labor Day weekend. 2. He wrote and performed the theme song for sports talk show host Reuben Frank for “The Reuben Frank Show” on 610am WIP, in Philadelphia 3.Larry earned Runner-up status for his song, “I just do” in the “VH1 2005 Song of the Year” competition http://www.songoftheyear.com/webawards/l/larrytritel.htm 4. He has performed live on the air on many occasions on Public Radio station WNTI 91.9 Fm on “The Flaming Ukulele Hour”. When you see Larry perform, you can tell he really loves what he's doing. He doesn't do what he does for the money or the attention, he just loves singin' and playin'. You can catch Larry performing all over the area and every Saturday morning “Breakfast with Larry “ from 9am to noon (since August 2003) at Orpha's Coffee Shop His first CD “Breakfast with Larry” was recorded at Orpha' s And “Happy to be Here” is Larry's first, all original CD. |

Larry's first CD, “Breakfast with Larry” (Woodchuck Records #1028) was recorded live at Orpha's Coffee Shop, September 17 th and 18 th 2005. It's a great example of what Larry sounds like at one of his coffee house gigs. There were no overdubs or effects added, this is just the music in its purest form. Larry does a couple of his original songs, but for the most part, this CD is almost all cover tunes.
